‘BIG’ Mortal Kombat X news coming this week

Earlier this week, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon teased that "big new" news regarding Mortal Kombat X would be shared this week.

That was on Monday, and it's now Wednesday, so the wait shouldn't be much longer. As for what the news will entail, well, it's still a mystery but I'm sure a lot of fans would like tos ee new characters added. If so, it'll probably come in the form of a Kombat Pack 2, which Boon has been teasing for quite a while now.

If the image included in Boon's tweet is any indication, though, then players could expect the arrival of a classic arena — perhaps "The Pit". Fans of the classic Mortal Kombat probably got the clue (the moon). For those unfamiliar, The Pit was an ominous bridge suspended above a deadly sea of spikes with a giant Moon looming overhead in the background. With Mortal Kombat X already featuring a series of "klassic" callbacks to past characters and costumes in the series, it's only fitting that NetherRealm do the same with arenas.

So is "The Pit" the big news Boon is teasing? We'll have to wait and see.
