Whereas most developers and publishers are spoiling the E3 surprises with early announcements (as to avoid inevitable leaks), Telltale Games is holding their cards close to their chest.
Earlier this week, the developer/publisher confirmed that they've got a "big announcement" regarding The Walking Dead to make at E3 next week.
"We're heading down to Los Angeles next week for E3, and we're packing something special for you guys!" Telltale teased. The announcement will be made on the official YouTube LIVE E3 channel on Monday, June 15th at 9:00am PT.
We don't know what the announcement will be exactly, but Telltale has already confirmed it will not be related to the third season. However, they acknowledged that it's still "pretty big news" for The Walking Dead fans, and that it'll be coming in 2015.
Telltale's Director of PR Job Stauffer teased today that "fans of the game and *especially* the comic will be excited," while also confirming that whatever it is, won't be centered on previous game characters. "Expect something fresh. Something untold," he said. "And yes, something bigger than a single episode…"
Well, color me intrigued. Bravo to Telltale for managing to keep a secret and not have it spoiled ahead of E3.
