Big plans for the future of the Resident Evil franchise emerge

In the past year, Capcom has graced their fans with an abundant amount of news regarding the Resident Evil franchise including the announcement of the new third-person shooter — Umbrella Corps, the remastered versions of 0,1,4,5, and 6, plus the news of a Resident Evil 2 remake.
However, Capcom plans to bring even more according to its latest investors report. First spotted on NeoGaf by user Chobel, the report claims that the beginning of 2016 and the launch of Umbrella Corps is just a warm up to the full-scale offensive plan.
In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, the Company is scheduled to release the strategic titles of “Sengoku BASARA Sanada Yukimura-den” and “Resident Evil Umbrella Corps” of the “Resident Evil” series, which marked its 20th anniversary in March 2016, as warm up to the full-scale offensive planned for the second half of the year.
What Capcom's plans are for the future of Resident Evil is still unknown, however if you believe what they say in the investors report, you can bet there will be plenty more zombie killing fun.
