Binding of Isaac Delayed on Nintendo Switch, No Longer a Launch Title

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ with extra content exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It was scheduled to launch with the console on March 3, but it has recently been delayed to a later, unannounced date.

It was confirmed in a blog post by Nicalis, the developers behind the game. They didn't give a reason for the delay, but it can only be assumed that it isn't ready for release. Their reasoning for the late announcement was, unfortunately, "due to issues way beyond our control."

They did smooth things over with some new information about the game, however. The physical version of the game will come with a reversible cover and a 20-page instruction manual and even a sticker sheet. A pretty rare thing with digital sales being the norm today.

Afterbirth+ is the grotesquely named expansion to the base game of Binding of Isaac. It's already released on PC, and is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Nicalis hasn't confirmed the Spring 2017 release window for the other two versions of the game either, but hopefully, we'll see Isaac once again soon.
