BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC receives a release date

For all of us who have been waiting to return to Rapture in BioShock Infinite’s DLC Burial at Sea, FINALLY you have a solidified release date. That’s right you plasmid shooting junkies, Burial at Sea can be yours November 12th. To put that into perspective, it’s only 2 ½ weeks away. Sure it’s only the first half of the total package, but man do I want it now.

In this film-noir style story, you’ll play as a private detective Booker who takes on the client of Elizabeth. The story takes place on the eve of the fall of Rapture. You know you’ve played post-fall Rapture over and over again; this is your first chance to walk the halls before everything has gone to hell.  You’ll return to the familiar and favorite guns from the original BioShock. You’ll even come across some familiar “friends” from previous games.

“This is a love letter to the fans, but it’s also the beginning of a story that will give gamers a new perspective on the BioShock universe,” said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. “With Burial at Sea, we built a Rapture not from BioShock and BioShock Infinite scraps and pieces, but with environments almost entirely crafted from scratch.”

You can buy this DLC for $15 or buy it as part of the Season Pass for $20.
