BioShock Infinite’s ending will amaze you

Designer Ken Levine promises that BioShock Infinite's ending is one of the best you'll ever see in a video game.

The first-person shooter is due in late March 2013. It's set in the floating city of Columbia, where private detective Book DeWitt goes to rescue a mysterious woman named Elizabeth from the Songbird's tower and dictator Zachary Hale Comstock.

“The plot actually gets more interesting as it goes on,” Levine told Eurogamer. “The end of the game, I can't tell whether people will like it or not like it. I can say it's something we're incredibly proud of. It's like nothing you've actually experienced in a video game before. It's unique and quite particular to this world, these characters, and this franchise.”

Levine said he "took to heart" the criticisms of the final third segment of the original game. It's a problem they tried to avoid this time around.

“You had a situation there where you had this amazing character, and once he's gone, the story loses some of its steam,” he said about the first BioShock.
