BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia is a board game based on Columbia’s warring factions

BioShock Infinite is already hailed as one of the best video games of all time, but how will it fair in the more physical realm of board games? We'll soon find out, as a new BioShock Infinite board game has just been revealed.

BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia is set during the same series of events as the video game. Rather than playing as Booker Dewitt or Elizabeth, you'll take on the role of the Founders and Vox Populi faction, both desperately seeking to seize control of Columbia.  As you command the combatants, you'll be tempted with challenging objectives that offer advantages in the ongoing war.

1912. The magnificent floating city of Columbia, intended to be a shining symbol of American exceptionalism , has been disavowed by the very nation that created it. Part world's fair and part battleship, Columbia has erupted into civil war as two sides vie for control of the most important city on Earth. The nationalistic Founders seek to prove that Columbia is even more American than its motherland, and the anarchistic Vox Populi seek to burn the floating city out of the sky. Caught in the middle of the infighting is disgraced former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, and Elizabeth, a mysterious young woman fated to be Columbia's salvation or the bringer of its doom.

Other features in BioShock Infinite: Siege of Columbia include the iconic Sky-line which can be used to move troopers, the "unpredictable and dangers" Booker and Elizabeth, recognizable characters like Daisy Fitzroy or the Songbird, and resources that will force you to make tough decisions.

BioShock Infinite: Siege of Columbia is expected to take two to five months to become available. Normally priced at $84.95, if you pre-order today from Plaid Hat Games, you'll receive a $25 discount. This makes it just $59.95.
