BioWare and Dark Horse Comics have confirmed a new comic book mini-series called Dragon Age: Those Who Speak. The first issue is due out on August 22.
The story will last three issues and follow King Alistair as he learns the fate of his lost father. David Gaider, lead writer of the Dragon Age game series, and Alexander Freed, senior writer for Star Wars: The Old Republic, will co-write.
Dark Horse did not mention whether Chad Hardin would be returning as artist. Hardin previously illustrated the digital series Dragon Age: The Silent Grove, a six-issue story that will release as a hardcover edition on July 25.
Last month, Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw said the team had finished Dragon Age II and was moving on to "the next thing."
