BioWare can’t tell us when Dragon Age: Inquisition’s DLC will release on PS4

As you're probably well aware by now, Dragon Age: Inquisition's new single-player DLC, Jaws of Hakkon, released yesterday; however, it was only made available for two platforms — Xbox One and PC. Although Electronic Arts noted that this was a timed exclusive, we weren't given a window for when to expect the PlayStation 4 version. And it doesn't sound like we'll get one either.

Responding to concerned PlayStation owners, executive producer Mark Darrah explained that while the DLC will come to PS4, BioWare can't say when exactly. He urged them to be patient.

As for the reasoning behind the silence, it appears BioWare is prohibited from talking about the DLC's release on PlayStation due to some sort of clause in the contract.

It's certainly not the first time we've seen DLC released as a timed exclusive. Microsoft every year has an agreement with Activision to ensure all Call of Duty DLC is released first on Xbox; however, we usually have some sort of idea as to how long we'll have to wait for PlayStation (it's typically a month). It's a bit odd for this contract to prevent BioWare from talking dates — as if DLC will persuade someone who already owns a PlayStation 4 to rush out and buy an Xbox One to play the new content first.

It's all stupid.
