According to recent Tweets from Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw, BioWare has moved on from Dragon Age II and have their eyes set on the "next thing." The Tweets also indicate that the "next thing" is indeed Dragon Age III.
Laidlaw Tweeted, "TL;DR Version: We're done development on Dragon Age II, and the team has fully moved onto The Next Thing(tm)." After posting the initial Tweet, Laidlaw added, "we'll be very actively looking for feedback on the next DA title, and will be showing the game more than before as it develops."
Meanwhile, executive producer Mark Darrah added that the Dragon Age team had more plans for Dragon Age II, but have sense moved on to their next project: "[BioWare] did have plans for an expansion pack to DA2 but other DA opportunities came up." Darrah also posted on their official forums, "moving the entire team's focus to the next phase of Dragon Age's future."
BioWare has yet to officially announce Dragon Age III, but these comments certainly hint towards the third installment.
