BioWare implementing patch beta program for Dragon Age: Inquisition

While 343 Industries cancels their plans for an update beta for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, BioWare looking to "empower" players is gearing up to have a beta program on the PC for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

BioWare has developed the fastest and most compressed patch schedule for Inquisition than it has for any game prior to its release. Regardless of the new found speed, the certification process of fixes/patches can delay the release for weeks after the update is complete.

This delay has caused BioWare to think outside of the box and look for new ways to create better paths of communication between developers and players. In light of this, the upcoming patch to Inquisition – Patch 5 – will be open to PC (due to patch infrastructure) players through a closed developer-like environment. Players will sign up for the beta program through the Keep soon.

The Patch 5 beta will give participants access to the Black Emporium, an undergound shop run by an 'immortal proprietor.' The Black Emporium will be the location in which you find and purchase various items:

There, Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and even change their voice and facial appearance using the Mirror of Transformation.

Skyhold will be getting a new feature in the Undercroft, party storage and players will be able to change the color of armor with crafting materials through the item tinter.

The patch will not only add content it will bring support to different. There will be keybinds for additional mouse buttons, auto-attack keys for single player, the option to adjust the size of subtitles and a shader quality setting to the graphics options.

A full list of changes, improvements and additions will be released tot he community soon.
