BioWare offers update on Mass Effect: Andromeda development; Teases June event

What will we see in June? Gameplay?

BioWare has not shared very much content or details on the upcoming Mass Effect game, Andromeda, since it was first revealed in June 2015. We have seen leaked footage and the possible story, but BioWare and EA have offered nothing other than a tease saying that they would be sharing more information in the future.

With E3 a month away, BioWare and EA have decided to remind us that the game still exists. According to a news post on the game's site, we can expect to hear more about the game on June 12th during the EA Play event which begins at 4PM PST.

Aaron Flynn, the General Manager of BioWare detailed that the developers have been playing the game in the studio and are sure they are "taking the game in the right direction." On top of that, Fynn spoke on the new features players can expect to see in Mass Effect: Andromeda (as per Flynn's wording).

  • More Freedom: One of our biggest ambitions is to give players an unprecedented level of freedom for a Mass Effect experience –where you’ll go, how you’ll get there, and how you’ll play.
  • New Uncharted Worlds: We’re leaving the Milky Way behind and headed to Andromeda, where we’ll meet new allies, confront new enemies, and explore fascinating new worlds.
  • The Next Great Mass Effect Experience: Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the first Mass Effect game for today’s consoles and the first built on the Frostbite engine. We’re pushing the technology to deliver visuals, story, and gameplay that have never been done in franchise history.
