BioWare officially ceases support on Mass Effect: Andromeda’s single player

After rumors of Mass Effect: Andromeda's Single Player DLC cancellation have been floating around for almost two months, BioWare has finally stepped forward confirming what several inside sources had said. Mass Effect: Andromeda will cease support for its single player campaign. While it's interesting that they avoided using the phrase "cancel single player DLC" in any form, it essentially means the same thing.

In a post on the official Mass Effect website, BioWare gave the schtick about listening to and addressing fan concerns and that the Andromeda storyline will still expand via "upcoming comics and novels." But tucked away in the post were the only two sentences that mattered.

Our last update, 1.10, was the final update for Mass Effect: Andromeda. There are no planned future patches for single-player or in-game story content.

It is worth noting, however, that BioWare will continue to support the game's multiplayer mode with additional content, including new multiplayer missions, character kits, as well as some special N7 Day content. More details on that will be coming in the future.

So there you have it. As it stands now, the single player campaign for Mass Effect: Andromeda is officially in its final state. More over, Mass Effect: Andromeda will go down as the only game in the series not to get single player DLC of any kind.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
