BioWare revealed their new game’s name, but no one noticed

Someone quick, scour the internet for pictures.

BioWare took to GDC 2016 with an announcement and unfortunately, it was an announcement no one heard or, apparently, even witnessed. Alistair McNally, BioWare's Senior Director of Creative Development, wore the announcement at GDC.

According to McNally, he wore a T-shirt with the name of BioWare Edmonton's new project.

Years ago during E3 2014, BioWare revealed that the Edmonton studio was working on a new game, but they didn't offer too many details. At the 1 minute and 18 second mark, you can hear BioWare's  ex-producer Casey Hudson commenting on the unannounced title.

"While the Montreal studio is working on the next Mass Effect game, our team here in Edmonton is developing a completely new IP.”

Last year in September, former BioWare writer Drew Karpyshyn returned to BioWare. Karpyshyn is responsible for the original Mass Effect game, its sequelKnights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: The Old Republic

I suspect a lot of folks are going to wonder if this means BioWare is about to announce a new project tied to my return," wrote Karpyshyn upon his return. "The short answer: no. I originally came to the Austin studio many years ago to work on SWTOR and – at least for now – that’s what I’m focusing on again."

The latest comment from Karpyshyn confirms that he is still at BioWare, but cannot "say much about the project beyond the official corporate releases."
