BioWare is working on something big, though what it is, they aren't saying yet. However, it was revealed earlier today in EA's Fiscal Earnings Call that the game is now planned to release during the Fiscal Year 2019, which is between April 2018 – March 2019. Mixed in with the announcement were a few vague descriptions that appear to give some credence to the "Destiny-style" game that was previously rumored by journalist Liam Robertson.
Here's the quote courtesy of NeoGAF.
"We’re very pleased with the progress of our new action IP from BioWare. The Design is stunning. Gameplay mechanics are excellent, and the action will be exhilarating. The game is built around a live service, and through our creative process, we decided to add more to the disruptive new social design for our players.
To accomodate that, we are moving the launch date for this project into fiscal year ’19."
So to break it down, here's what's confirmed.
Liam Robertson's rumor pointed to an E3 2017 reveal, and given that the game could come as early as April 2018, that's looking like a pretty safe bet as well. Of course, until something is confirmed, keep the hyper meter on the DL.
