A new screenshot posted to BioWare’s Twitter feed has people all over the Internet speculating on what it could be. Mass Effect 3? A new IP? The image of a man holding a futuristic-looking sniper rifle looks as if the developers took the colorful and shiny visuals of Mass Effect and dumped a bit of Dragon Age grit all over it. Could it be a new sci-fi/fantasy hybrid called Dragon Effect? Mass Age? Nah, probably not.
Eager BioWare fans will have to wait until Saturday, December 11th to get some answers. According to GTTV host Geoff Keighley, the new game will be unveiled on the upcoming Spike Awards show, along with Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s THQ collaboration.
