Bitsquid game engine licensing coming to PS4

Bitsquid has announced that their signature game engine, appropriately called Bitsquid, will soon be available for licensing on Sony's recently announced PlayStation 4. The high-end game engine aims to curb development costs through lean code base — estimated to be 10 times smaller — and fast work flows, as well as sub second iteration on multiple devices simultaneously.

"We are proud to be a part of this important event and welcome this powerful new console on which we will see many amazing new games." said Bitsquid CEO Johan Strömberg.

Some notable games powered by Bitsquid include War of the Roses for PC and Hamilton's Great Adventure for PS3, PC, and Android. These two games alone highlight the engine's flexibility "for a large variety of games and platforms."
