Black Desert Online awakens the Valkyrie and opens fan contest

Developer Pearl Abyss has released the Awakening for The Valkyrie class in their popular MMORPG, Black Desert Online. Normally, the Valkyrie fight with just a sword and shield along with some pretty tough defensive prowess and party buffs, but her new Awakening power grants her the ability to use a one-handed lance for added reach and offensive firepower. On top of the one-handed lance, the Valkyrie can use skills that let her damage multiple enemies simultaneously (as you can see from the trailer above).

In other news, the BDO team is currently creating an official Black Desert Online calendar for 2017, and are looking for players to submit screenshots of their characters alongside the game's newly added seasons which will be cycling throughout this month. If you are chosen, your character will be featured in the calendar and you will be rewarded with in-game items and (naturally) a copy of the calendar.
