Black Friday: Here’s how to know which store is offering Xbox One, PS4 games the cheapest

It's a document!

The Xbox Store and PlayStation Store pre-Black Friday sales for subscribers of each console's online network have gone live, but they aren't the cheapest places to get the games you want. Sure, you have the convenience factor of digital purchases, but the real Black Friday sales are coming up and some retailers are items at a cheaper price.

The lovely netizen StryderOmega has created a document that puts all of the Black Friday game prices and console prices on a spreadsheet and compares them, letting us know which place is the cheapest for the games we are looking for.

Here's an example of where some new games are the cheapest.

  • Assassin's Creed Origins

    • Walmart for $29
  • Call of Duty: WWII

    • Best Buy for $39.99
  • Destiny 2

    • GameStop for $27
  • Evil Within 2

    • Best Buy for $25
    • GameStop for $25
  • Wolfenstein 2

    • Best Buy for $25
    • GameStop for $25

Consoles, for the most part, are priced the same across all retailers. The difference between each retailer is the bonus they offer along with the console. For example, Microsoft is offering the Xbox One S (500GB) for $189 with a free game and one month of Game Pass while GameStop is simply offering the console at the same price.

The document doesn't seem to be quite finished yet – but it will be handy!
