As if Activision doesn't get enough grief for using recycled buildings from previous games, they will now offer a recycled Black Ops map as a bonus for pre-ordering Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Limited Edition Pack.
Nuketown 2025, Black Ops 2 futuristic take on the popular map found in Black Ops, will return as a pre-order incentive. Judging from the advertisement, it looks like it will be available on launch day.
Now before we all crucify Activision and Treyarch as lazy, it should be noted that the map now goes by the name Nuketown 2025 and that it has been "re-imagined for the future". So…more destruction?
According to an image submitted to IGN, which was taken at Irish retailer Xtravision, Activision is calling it "the biggest incentive in Call of Duty history" that will be "driving pre-orders…and day one." The advertisement also calls Nuketown the most "most popular map" in Call of Duty.
I don't know if that's true, but either way, here's the first of many expected "bonus" maps that will be available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Another question that remains is if this new map will be available on all platforms at the same time. At E3, Microsoft confirmed that all Black Ops 2 downloadable content will launch on Xbox 360 first, but it's unclear if it also applies to pre-order bonuses.
