Despite the massive attention placed on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's multiplayer and Zombies components, it's the single-player story that will always has the shocking surprises. In past Call of Duty titles we've been exposed to nukes, terrorist sequences, and many other jaw-dropping moments. Needless to say, Black Ops 2 will continue delivering the "emotional depth" as past installments in the franchise.
"The story surrounding the single player campaign was of paramount importance to the developers at Treyarch," said composer Jack Wall who was responsible for writing the score to Black Ops 2.
"I wanted to do my part to give as much emotional depth as I could with the music," he added. "I think fans will really appreciate how deep the story is in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2."
Black Ops 2 will feature two storylines — one set in the 1970s through the 1980s and the other in the near future (2025) — that are connected with each other. Unlike past Call of Duty games, Black Ops 2 is the first to present branching storylines driven by player choice.
Of course, nothing helps set the emotional tone like a game's soundtrack, and the Black Ops 2 soundtrack will be available on iTunes and through select digital marketplaces the same day as the game. For $11.99 you can listen to the robust soundtrack featuring over 40 tracks. The soundtrack is included in boththe Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Care Package Collector's Editions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set to release worldwide on November 13 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. A Wii U version will also be available.
