For the fifth consecutive week, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 remained the number one seller in the UK, according to the latest GfK Chart-Track report. The streak tied LEGO Batman 2 for the number of straight weeks at the top of the chart for 2012.
Although Black Ops 2 sales were up 14%, it was Square Enix's Hitman: Absolution which showed the most growth. Thanks to a price promotion, Hitman: Absolution's sales grew 91% resulting in the game climbing four places to number two.
EA's FIFA 13 remained at number three for the sixth consecutive week, while Ubisoft's Just Dance 4 stayed number four with the help of a price-promoted Wii version. Ubisoft's other blockbuster title, Far Cry 3, suffered a much worse fate dropping three places to number five. Assassin's Creed 3 which was released back in October remained strong, placing sixth.
Rounding out the top ten, in descending order, is Halo 4, Need for Speed Most Wanted, LEGO: The Lord of the Rings, and WWE '13.
