Blade Runner 2049 is officially rated R for nudity and violence

Blood, boobs, butts, swearing!

It should come as no surprise to learn that the long-awaited Blade Runner sequel is rated R. Sorry kids, you're going to have to sit this one out. Just like the original film, Blade Runner 2049 will earn a rating that restricts anyone under the age of 17 from viewing it without a parent.

The MPAA's official description for the reason it has been rated R is for “violence, some sexuality, nudity, and language,” meaning that we'll probably get some sex scenes and intense action scenes. Ryan Gosling looks like he's going to get tossed around quite a bit and with very physical actors like Dave Bautista starring in the flick, you can expect visceral and brutal fight scenes.

Blade Runner 2049 will see a new blade runner played by Ryan Gosling uncover a deadly a secret which leads him on a quest to track down Rick Deckard who has been in hiding for 30 years. The film opens in theaters on October 6th, 2017.
