Warner Bros.'s sequel to the 1982 film by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner, has officially been dated for release. We can expect the film to release over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend on January 12, 2018.
With roughly two years of waiting left for the film to release, we have hopes that more on the cast and script will release (or not, a surprise would be nice). As far as we know, the sequel will be directed by Sicario durector, Denis Villeneuve, who happens to be very scared of screwing up a classic film.
Ryan Gosling will star in the film, alongside returning actor Harrison Ford. The sequel is set to begin filming this July. In case you missed it, Ridley Scott detailed the opening scene of the Blade Runner sequel… and it sounds amazing.
