Blade & Soul reaches one million player mark in less than a week

Blade & Soul launched in both Europe and North America on January 19th. In less than a week developer NCSOFT has indicated they have already reached the one million player mark.

Dr. Songyee Yoon, CEO of NCSOFT, responded to the milestone with the following statement:

"At NCSOFT, we are committed to providing our players an extraordinary experience across all of our games. It is thrilling that so many people are excited about the arrival of Blade & Soul in the West, and we will continue to work tirelessly to make sure our amazing players have a great time in this epic game.”

The game was originally released in Korea and China as the first martial arts based MMO. As most games of its genre focus on fantasy and magic, Blade & Soul relies on combat as its focal point.

You can download Blade & Soul now from its official site in both North America and Europe. Remember to read our preview to give yourself a heads up before jumping in as well.
