Bleach’s Ichigo, Rukia and Aizen Unveiled to Appear in Jump Force

Publisher Bandai Namco today revealed more fan-favourite anime characters who are joining the fray in their upcoming anime action bonanza Jump Force. The protagonist of the recently concluded Bleach series Ichigo will be a playable character with more being teased.

The post came through their official Facebook page where Rukia, another prominent Bleach character was also revealed to appear in Jump Force. On top of that, a major villain character, Aizen, was also revealed to be in the game but we don’t know in what manner. Only an enemy character or also playable?

Bandai Namco’s Facebook post comes after an article in a recent Jump magazine in Japan where Ichigo, Rukia and Aizen were initially introduced. So, it is nice that fans in the West finally get confirmation, as well as screenshots of Ichigo, Rukia and Aizen in action.

Jump Force was unveiled just a few weeks ago during E3 on Microsoft’s press conference and was one of the few games which didn’t leak beforehand, ending up being one of the bigger surprises. The action-packed fighter stunned viewers not only with its huge play areas but also with the sheer fidelity at hand. A highly detailed world with sprawling cities and lush scenery. As is fitting for the over-the-top action heroes so far shown, Jump Force is planning to make players feel the same amount of power while fighting equally powerful foes, destroying entire city blocks in the process.

Jump Force is aiming to bring several of the most popular anime universes together with characters appearances from the Dragon Ball series, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and even Death Note. Maybe we will see more announcements of anime and manga characters who are going to join Jump Force, in the coming months. After all, there are several magazines under the Jump umbrella who have published an insane amount of manga series in their impressive 50 year history.

Jump Force is set to arrive on PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime next year.
