Released in 1987, Mike Tyson's Punch Out has proven to be one of the most difficult classic fighting games of all time. To this day, the true NES version remains unbeaten. However, one man has managed to beat an emulated version on the Wii — whie blindfolded.
A gamer who goes by the handle "Wedge" recently uploaded a video of himself playign the game blindfolded by a Boston Bruins hat. He defeats the first 13 fighters with all of his button mashing glory and then he gets to Mike Tyson, the ultimate boss.
The first thing Wedge announced after he defeated Tyson was:
"I am the first human being, that we know of, to have gone 14-0 in Mike Tyson's Punch Out blindfolded. Yeahhhh, man!"
Including the 'that we know of' is important, but doesn't trivialize his accomplishment…We recognize your success Wedge. Grats, man.
Check out the entire battle below, skip to 27 minutes for the Tyson battle, and to 29:41 for the final round.
