A year before the actual release the
screens already show just what the new 3D engine is capable of. Fantastically
natural looking landscapes, highly detailed units and spectacular effects. The
player can turn, tip and zoom the dynamic camera or rely on a fixed camera
position as in Blitzkrieg 1.
Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon in April
For those of you who just can’t wait
for Blitzkrieg 2, be sure to get your hands on Burning Horizon, the first
official add-on to Blitzkrieg 1. This reinforcement pack delivers an epic
campaign with 18 missions built around the legendary Erwin Rommel, starting with
single missions containing Japanese troops as well as 50 new units. Burning
Horizon will be released in April as a stand-alone version – i.e. it runs
independently of Blitzkrieg 1.
Further horizons
Another extension pack for
Blitzkrieg 1 is planned for the second half of 2004 and will take into
consideration hundreds of suggestions from fans all over the world, who
registered for an idea competition hosted by CDV.
