Blizzard files a trademark for “Warlords of Draenor”

"Warlords of Draenor" was successfully trademarked by Blizzard Entertainment, and based on the name, it's reasonable to assume it's the next World of Warcraft expansion. WarlordsofDraenor.com was also registered last month.

With the opening ceremony of Blizzcon this Friday, there's speculation that Warlords of Draenor will use a lot of time travel elements and feature Grom Hellscream as the main villain.

Here's what we know about Draenor — it's the homeworld of the Orcs and Draeni, now known as Outland. Outland was introduced to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion. It was the first expansion for WoW, where the Burning Legion was led by Sargeras (a titan), and Kil' Jaeden as his second in command. Kil' Jaeden is already in the game as a boss in the 25-man Sunwell Plateau raid, but he appears at half-strength. He's in the process of being summoned, and when you defeat him he's sent back to the Twisting Nether.

Is it possible that Outland is going to get revamped? We'll know more once Blizzcon is underway.
