Blizzard is offering free faction changes for select realms in World of Warcraft

Are you an avid World of Warcraft player? Are you tired of your faction’s situation on your server? Do you pine for the greener pastures on the other side? Then we’ve got great news for you! It’s free faction changes for select realms!

We’re beginning a totally awesome operation, starting with the Barthilas realm, that will allow characters to change from Horde to Alliance—

Wait. Why the hell would anyone want to do that? Other than, you know, a population that houses a crippling imbalance between the two factions. But then you’d just be better off leaving the server. I mean, come on, who wants to play with Gnomes and Night Elves, am I right people?

Anyway, before I totally lose you by going back into “cheesy salesman” mode, here’s the lowdown:

Players on the Barthilas realm are eligible for approximately one week to transfer from the Horde to Alliance to help out with the server’s population. If the process is deemed a success, you can expect other realms to become eligible in the future.
