Blizzard officially releases new Hearthstone expansion, Mean Streets of Gadgetzan

It's been a good week for Blizzard Entertainment. After their newest IP won Game of the Year at The Game Awards earlier this week, the company has also released the latest expansion for their addictive card game, Hearthstone. The Mean Street of Gadgetzan brings 132 all-new cards to the table as players look to ally with one of three crime families; the weapon-smuggling Grimy Goons, the assassins of the Jade Lotus, or the mana-hungry Kabal.

Gadgetzan itself is made up of seedy back alleys that serve as a haven for the petty criminals of Azeroth. It is here where they look to make their fortune (the 132 new cards) by joining up with one of the families.

Mike Morhaime, CEO, and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment said:

"With Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, we’re introducing some exciting new mechanics to give deck-builders all-new ways to play Hearthstone. It’s going to be fun to see the influence of the three crime families spread throughout Gadgetzan as players align themselves with the Grimy Goons, the Kabal, and the Jade Lotus."

As is usually the case for Hearthstone, you don't have to pay anything to access the new cards, but if you choose to go the free route, you will have to earn the cards. You can get the card packs as quest rewards or prizes in the Arena, and can also craft them by using Arcane Dust collected from disenchanting unwanted cards. If you don't wish to wait, you can a buy a Mean Streets of Gadgetzan 50-pack bundle for a one-time fee of $49.99.

Hearthstone: The Mean Streets of Gadgetzan is now available on PC, Mac, and mobile phones and tablets that use either iOS or Android as their operating systems.
