World of Warcraft and Diablo developer Blizzard Entertainment will reportedly hold a press conference at Gamescom next month in Germany. French fansite Mamytwink (via Wowhead) has obtained an invitation to the conference, which will supposedly be held on August 5 at 12:00 CEST (3:00am PDT / 6:00am EDT).
Unfortunately, the invitation offers little in terms of details, but I think it's safe to expect the company's biggest titles will be shown off, including possible new content for Diablo and World of Warcraft. During Blizzard's 2013 Gamescom briefing, the developer announced Diablo 3's Reaper of Souls expansion. It's also possible we'll hear some more news about Overwatch, the developer's highly anticipated team-based, multiplayer first-person shooter. Perhaps an official date for the game's beta?
Of course, with BlizzCon in November, I wouldn't expect Blizzard to blow their entire load on Gamescom. Still, it's fair to expect some exciting announcements.
Gamescom is held in Germany and runs from August 5 through August 9. On the show floor, attendees will be able to play Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft.
