While the entire GameZone staff isn't in Boston this year for PAX East 2015 (some of us like the warm weather in South Florida), we have sent our Senior News Editor Matt Liebl. He's never seen snow, and he's freaking out over how cold it is. He and talented, world-renowned cosplayer Jessica Nigri are teaming up to tackle PAX East this year, and they've already noticed one thing…
Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch is popular. Like, really popular. Look at the line in that picture. It's not going to get any better folks. If you're attending PAX East this weekend, we recommend that you try to get in line as early as possible.
Four months ago at Blizzcon, Blizzard announced Overwatch, a team-based, multiplayer first-person shooter with an emphasis on accessibility and pure fun. Overwatch takes place in a technogically advanced, highly stylized future Earth. Set in a time of global crisis, an international task force of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities known as Overwatch have had to band together to restore peace to a war-torn world. But after many years, the group eventually disbanded. There are futuristic global locations and every battlefield is iconic and built to highlight each character's unique abilities. You can get a lot of the game's details HERE.
Last week, a new character was also teased by Blizzard.
We'll give you our impressions of how the game plays later on today, so stay tuned for more information, as well as possible reveals. If you're attending PAX East and played Overwatch, let us know what you thought of it!
