Blizzard's next big game, Overwatch, is just around the corner and more and more details are surfacing.
Apparently Overwatch will be balanced separately for PC players and console players. That's not the usual approach, usually games that comes out on different platforms gets the same balance updates and whenever the console or the PC version gets its own update it is usually only bug fixes and such. But not this time.
Overwatch’s game director Jeff Kaplan said in an interview with Th3Jez that "we don't wanna do anything that would harm consoles because of PC tunnin, and we don't wanna harm PC because of console tuning" he continues "there's been a lot of unease of you know 'oh god, I play on this platform, that means that platform is gonna ruin it for us' we wouldn't do that".
So with Overwatch console and PC gamers won't get the chance to yell at the other platform because it ruins the game for them, which is a very smart thing. But Xbox and PlayStation will get the same updates since the Overwatch crew thinks that they are similar in playstyle and that is won't ruin the game for Xbox and PlayStation players.
Overwatch is set to release May 24th, less than a month after its biggest competition, Gearbox's Battleborn.
