Blizzard trademarks “Mists of Pandaria”, possible title of next World of Warcraft expansion.

MMO-Champion reports that earlier this week Blizzard filed for the trademark "Mists of Pandaria" under computer software, leading many to speculate that this may be the next World of Warcraft expansion. There is some basis for this as Cataclysm was trademarked in a similar manner a few months before any announcement was made. In any case, we'll likely know for sure at this year's Blizzcon, set to take place October 21st and 22nd at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.

It's not yet certain what this expansion could entail – possibly playable Pandaren at long last? Blizzard has had issues with putting the anthropomorphic Panda race into the game before, but you never can tell with Blizzard. They often change their mind about things after a period of time and fan demand. Its possible that this expansion will further open up the islands in the South Seas. Mind, this is all conjecture at this point, so keep it tuned here for more information as it rolls in!
