Blizzard warns players against using the exploit discovered for Lucioball

What does a hilarious red-head from the 50's have to do with...oh, Lucio Ball! Nevermind.

'Overwatch' Game Director, Jeff Kaplan, warns players against utilizing the exploit discovered for the new game, Lucioball.

Blizzard recently released a new game for their Olympic themed 'Summer Games' mode in 'Overwatch' referred to simply as Lucioball. The intention of the game is to play as the character Lucio (and ONLY as Lucio!) in a massive soccer-style match against other Lucios.

Several players, however, have discovered a bug in the new game mode that allows other 'Overwatch' characters to participate. While this might sound great and like a truly all-inclusive experience, unfortunately, the game is not actually designed to be played with any other character other than Lucio, hence "Lucioball". As a result, Game Director, Jeff Kaplan, has begun the process of fixing the glitch and has officially warned players about using the exploit:

"Apologies for this bug. We've attempted to fix it numerous times and have had unrelated issues preventing the fix. We hope to have a fix this week.

In the meantime, we are in discussions with our Customer Support group to start taking action against those deliberately using the bug to play heroes other than Lucio.

Please do not exploit this bug. Fair warning."
There was no official declaration of what penalties will be administered if players are caught using a different character, but its probably not good. The bug goes against the whole idea behind the game and its possible they may be considering full bans on Lucioball for players who disobey.

Until the fix is finished, remember, play fair.
