After skipping out on 2012, Blizzard has announced the dates for 2013's BlizzCon event. This year's convention, which will be the seventh BlizzCon, will take place Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. During this time, gamers will gather from around the world to meet, play, and celebrate their passion for all things Blizzard.
"BlizzCon gives us a chance to connect with our players and share our latest projects in a very personal way," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Members from all of our gaming communities have helped make this event bigger and better every time, and we look forward to meeting up and celebrating with them in November."
The big stars this year will be Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. Fans will get hands-on time with the latest versions of these games. Events include top gamers from around the world participating in the global finals for Blizzard eSports, discussion panels with Blizzard game developers and artists, competitive and casual tournaments for regular players, and community contests with prizes.
For anyone who has attended BlizzCon, you'll know how extremely popular it is. 2011's event sold out in seconds and included the unveiling of Mists of Pandaria, the fourth World of Warcraft expansion. BlizzCon 2011 also saw the revealing of Blizzard Dota, which has since been renamed Blizzard All-Stars. Hopefully we see more of this MOBA title at this year's convention.
Further details about BlizzCon 2013, including ticket availability and pricing, will be announced as the event nears.
