BlizzCon 2017 Agenda hints at the future of World of Warcraft, Overwatch & More

BlizzCon 2017 is less than a month away and up until now, we've had no clue what Blizzard was going showcase in Anaheim. According to a new agenda for the event, it looks like World of Warcraft is once again going to take center stage. Overwatch, however, has also become a massive success for the company, so you can expect to hear some big news regarding the Overwatch League, possibly a start date, as well as new information on future characters (maybe that fan-created character … hey, one can hope).

Other Blizzard properties like Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft 2 and Hearthstone will also be featured. Diablo sadly, will not be present.

Obviously, with World of Warcraft at the top of that list and its description, a new expansion is going to be revealed. Though some die-hard fans believe they have already uncovered the name, or at least the location, of the new expansion, dubbed, Kul Tiras. For those unfamiliar with the name, Kul Tiras is a human-built city-state that was constructed off the coast of Lordaeron (former home of Arthas). However, during a previous expansion, Cataclysm, the island was knocked loose and sent out to sea. Its location remains unknown. As for the theme (villains or bosses), it's believed the expansion may focus on the Old Gods. Again, this is just a fan theory, based on data mined armor, ie. it's a rumor.

If you're unable to attend BlizzCon, perhaps due to your location, costs or what have you, you can still stream the event live with a Virtual Ticket, for $39.99. It's a lot cheaper, plus you can sit back and relax at home and best of all, you still get awesome digital Blizzard swag. For more information on the Virtual Ticket, click here.
