Blood Bowl 2 unleashes the stink of The Nurgle Team

Cyanide Studios has gradually filtered in new teams to its American Football meets Warhammer franchise, but we have finally arrived at the release of Team Nurgle. This awkwardly named race is known for their unrelenting stench and their worship of the God of the same name. The Worshippers of Nurgle are granted a disease called "Nurgle's Rot" which infects all who get even but a whiff.

Here's the official description for Team Nurgle via the game's Steam page:

The teams of Nurgle come with their Rotters, Pestigors, Nurgle Warriors and Beasts. They are joined by the Nurgle legendary star-player – Lord Borak the Despoiler.
Nurgle teams are a form of Chaos team, whose players worship the god Nurgle – the Chaos god of corruption and disease. He rewards his players by granting them a rather unpleasant disease known as “Nurgle’s Rot”. If anyone gets close enough to get a decent sniff, they’ll contract one of Nurgle’s nasty diseases and usually die before anyone can suggest a new personal hygiene regime.
As with most Chaos teams, the Nurgle team is at its best when it can get stuck in and directly take on opposing players. What it has in strength and toughness, the Nurgle team lacks in agility. Nurgle Warriors have a lousy Agility value and Move rate, and do not make good ball bearers. With such a terrible average Move rate, these worshippers of the Chaos god Nurgle could find themselves being beaten not just by the opposing side, but also the clock!
The release of Team Nurgle follows the Necromantic, Undead, Norse, Lizardmen, and Wood Elf teams, so there is more than enough variety for players to get their fill. Blood Bowl is also releasing an all-new edition of its board game, and if you pre-order it here, you can get 50% off of the purchase of a copy of Blood Bowl 2.
