Blood of the Dead returns to Black Ops 4 Zombies with a nostalgic Trailer

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is releasing tomorrow and developer Treyarch released a new trailer for the zombies mode. Blood of the Dead marks the return of the fan-favorite zombie map from Black Ops 2. The reimagined map features the original characters and map but has some new secrets hidden to explore. Check out the trailer.

The inclusion of a Zombies mode in Black Ops 4 was long known and you can see it in action here, but today we learn that there will be a lot more meat to Zombie than just a new mini-campaign.

Treyarch is gunning for the emotions with this great new trailer and is no doubt building up excitement for the zombies mode in Black Ops 4. It’s going to need it, since all the talk about the newest Call of Duty title has been primarily about the absence of a single-player campaign and the series-first introduction of the battle royale mode Blackout.

Zombies is going to be one of the three pillars for Black Ops 4, besides aforementioned Blackout and traditional Multiplayer. Being the only game mode which resembles any kind of narrative progression, Zombies has a lot of responsibilities in its shoulders for players who want to get break from the other two, rather competitive game modes.

Getting a revamped nostalgic Zombies map on top of the already highly ambitious new Zombies campaign, should come as great news for those uninterested in the new battle royale mode. Geared heavily around cooperative gameplay with a degree of mission structure, Zombies has long become a staple for the Black Ops sub-series.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is releasing tomorrow for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. You can check out the necessary system requirements here, if you plan on playing on PC here, but be aware that Black Ops 4 will be exclusively available on Battle.net for PC.
