A Sony Computer Entertainment America representative speaking to Destructoid has reportedly confirmed that a Bloodborne Alpha is planned for North America. What's more, invites for it will supposedly be sent out later today.
According to the representative, eligible participants were already pre-selected based on a set of criteria that involves a specific Trophy requirement across Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and/or Dark Souls 2 on PS3. The representative stressed that the Bloodborne Alpha is strictly a "development tool" and not intended to actually promote the game, which could explain the strict requirements. Still though, you'd think From Software would want a nice balance of new and veteran players to make up the Alpha test if difficulty is what they are indeed testing.
Bloodborne is set to release on February 6, 2015 exclusively on PS4.
