Bloodborne to support up to 5 online players

In FromSoftware's Dark Souls there's always the terrifying moment of when your world is invaded by a hostile player…then invaded by someone else while you're already being invaded. Luckily, you have the ability to summon two players to stand by your side and aid you in your battle against the invaders.

By that point, you will be in a five person battle (including yourself) and FromSoftware's latest game, Bloodborne, won't divert from this set up.

Looking at the details on the Sony Store page, Bloodborne will allow two to five players in your game at any given time. What's more interesting is that Dark Souls 2's upcoming DLC Scholar of the First Sin will allow up to six players (including the host player). If the DLC can implement the ability to have one more player, why won't Bloodborne be launching with a six player maximum? A free patch to prepare for Scholar of the First Sin will launch on February 4th while the actual retail version is scheduled to release on April 7th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and on PC. PC players who already own Dark Souls 2 won't have to purchase Scholar of the First Sin, since the patch adds all of the extra content to the game, however, those who also want the updated graphics will have to re-purchase the new game.

Perhaps the sixth player will be implemented to the game after it is tested out on Dark Souls 2.
