Bluehole talking to Sony to bring PUBG to PlayStation 4

The biggest game of 2017 is without a doubt PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. It has taken over YouTube, Twitch, and the PC gaming community and it'll likely find a whole new audience when it comes to Xbox One this fall.

Some PlayStation fans have felt left out, however. The game has yet to be announced for PS4 and that's because Microsoft seems to have paid to get it on their platform first and are also helping publish it. Some people have speculated it may not come to any other consoles at all but developer Bluehole states that is not the case.

An excerpt from an interview with Bloomberg notes that the company is actively pursuing potentially bringing the 1 vs 99 shooter to other platforms on top of Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

"Chang says his company has had talks with all of the major console companies about bringing PUBG to a broader audience. Microsoft Corp. will launch the title exclusively on Xbox later this year. Bluehole is in talks with Sony about introducing a version for the PlayStation after that."

For those on PS4, players have an alternative while they wait. Epic Games' Fortnite recently launched a free to play spin-off that combines the mechanics of Fortnite with PlayerUnknown'sBattlegrounds. The game is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC at the moment.

PUBG will come to Xbox One sometime this fall.
