Bond 25 gets November 2019 release date

James Bond is one of the longest running movie franchises of all time, with 24 films and 6 different leading men, it has a very long history in cinema. The films based off of Ian Flemming's suave British spy are about to hit a massive milestone with the 25th 007 film.

Bond 25 has been brewing ever since 2015's Spectre hit theaters but there's been a lot more questions regarding this specific film than most of the other sequels. It currently remains unclear who is going to play James Bond as Daniel Craig has previously expressed great displeasure at the idea of returning to the role. While he has loosened that stance over time and insiders suggest that he has signed on for one last ride as Bond, we have no official confirmation. Actors like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, and many others have had their names thrown into consideration but Bond producers have said Craig would be their first choice.

With that said, it would seem MGM has picked out their Bond and have set the untitled 25th Bond film for a November 8th, 2019 release date. The film will likely begin production at the end of 2018 and continue well into the new year. Details regarding the story, casting, and the title of the movie will probably remain under wraps until the traditional Bond press conference which is held right as they are about to begin filming a new film. It wouldn't be completely unsurprising if we hear about Craig officially returning sooner than that but only time will tell.

The film is also currently without a director. Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception) has said that he'd be willing to helm a Bond film if the project needed him but it's unclear if he's ready to take on another major franchise so soon.
