Borderlands 2 getting Valentine’s Day-themed DLC

Inspired by Valentine's Day, Gearbox has decided to offer players some new Borderlands 2 content. On February 11th, players will be able to download Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, a Valentine-themed add-on with a Borderlands twist.

This add-on features the return of Innuendo Bot 5000 and its creator, Mad Moxxi, as they try to bring two rival clans together with the help of the Vault Hunters. They think love and understanding will bring peace to the clans, but as you know, things don’t always work out the way you’d hope on Pandora – especially when it involves the Hodunks and the Zafords.  Ellie also makes an appearance and tries to help out too, but she isn’t very keen on keeping things civil.

Fret not, though – you can at least bring joy to a couple of new robot characters in love with each other. When you first encounter these characters, you’ll have to work to bring them together because they can’t muster up the courage to confess their love on their own.

Mad Moxxie and the Wedding Day Massacre is the fourth add-on in the Headhunter series. Like the previous Headhunter add-ons, you'll get a new head and skin for each character class once you beat the final enemy. Gearbox warns that the heads are "a little more graphic" this time around.

"With these new heads, you’ll also get an inside look at the Vault Hunters, especially Zer0… though it should be said that his new head is named “N0t C4n0n” for a reason," the developer teases.

Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre will be available on February 11, 2014 for $2.99 on PC/Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3. Gearbox still has one final Headhunter add-on planned; it's called Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax and it's coming in April.
