Borderlands 2’s March 18th release for Vita ‘an error,’ says 2K

Earlier today, 2K Games posted that Borderlands 2 would be coming to PlayStation Vita on March 18th. Turns out that date is incorrect as the publisher took to Twitter to clarify.

"We apologize for a tweet about a release date for Borderlands 2 on Vita which was posted in error," 2K corrected. "The release date mentioned is incorrect."

The original tweet mentioning the release date for the co-op shooter-looter has since been deleted and 2K has offered no further information. "We're sorry for any confusion this may have caused," the publisher added. For any more info, 2K suggests following the official Twitter accounts for Sony PlayStation and Gearbox.

Borderlands 2 coming to Vita was first announced at Gamescom back in August 2013. Meanwhile, the game was offered to PlayStation Plus members for free on the PS3 back in December.
