Although it's too early to talk specific numbers, Borderlands 2 will see an improved framerate over its predecessor, Gearbox confirmed.
Answering fan questions on the PlayStation blog, Borderlands 2 producer Matt Charles told fans we can expect a more consistent framerate.
"That’s certainly the plan! We’re entering the phase of development right now where we are focusing on framerate and stability, so it’s too early for me to give any final numbers, but you will see an improvement over the first game," Charles said.
Judging from our preview on PAX, I definitely noticed an improvement. With all of the chaos that ensued on screen, the game ran surprisingly smooth even with enemies bursting out of the ground every second.
In other news, if you plan on purchasing Borderlands 2 regardless of the framerate, you might be interested in the recently announced Collector's Editions. Find out more about the Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collector's Edition and the Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition here.
