Borderlands 3 comes to Steam next Month together with new Add-on

More Guns, More Loot, More Players

After a six-month timed exclusivity on the Epic Games Store, Gearbox is now sharing the release date of Borderlands 3 for Steam. In two weeks, Steam users will also be able to play the original looter-shooter on their preferred gaming client. On the same day, the second campaign expansion will also launch. Check out the trailer for it here!

When Borderlands 3 was unveiled last year, fans of the addictive shooter were thrilled to finally get a new entry in the franchise. In fact, it took the developer almost the entire console generation to make a new Borderlands game. The wait was worth it though which you can read in detail in our review here.

But in the PC scene, opinions were mixed mostly because of business decisions. Gearbox made a deal with Epic and brought their game exclusively on their PC client. Studio President Randy Pitchford quasi-confirmed very early on that this deal was only a timed deal and indeed even teased an exclusivity period of six months even before the game came out. Today, we are greeted with the Steam release date that is exactly six months apart from the original release to the day.

The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure! Blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters – the ultimate treasure-seeking badasses of the Borderlands, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Play solo or join with friends to take on insane enemies, score loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.

But there’s more reason to be excited. With “Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock” Borderlands 3 will further receive its second campaign add-on the same month. This DLC will re-introduce a familiar face from the second game and is part of the four-pronged Season Pass.
