As most of you are well-aware by now, the first ever PAX South is going on right now in San Antonio, Texas. For the weekend, fans in attendance can check out all the new and upcoming games, and sit in on panels by some of industry's best developers. That includes Gearbox Software which will provide "the latest news and updates on Borderlands and upcoming Gearbox titles" at its panel on Sunday, "Inside Gearbox Software."
As we pointed out earlier this month, Gearbox is promising "never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises," one of which may be Borderlands 3. At least, that's according to Gematsu which recently posted an answer Gearbox president Randy Pitchford had for a fan at yesterday's "Question and Answer Time" panel when asked, "When or if we are going to be getting Borderlands 3?"
“I’ll tell you what,” Pitchford replied. “We don’t know. That’s the honest answer. But if you come back to our main theater panel on Sunday, you might get a little more than that.”
Gearbox recently announced plans to bring Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to Xbox One and PS4 as part of the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
While that should appease fans dying for Borderlands on their next-gen console temporarily, we're all really waiting for Borderlands 3.
The "Inside Gearbox Software" panel is scheduled for Sunday morning, January 25th, from 10:30 am to 11:30am. It'll be held in the Main Theatre.
