Gearbox Software may be working their fingers down to the bone to develop Borderlands 3 specifically for next-gen consoles, but that doesn't mean that the previous games should be forgotten. Those games are what brought us to the Borderlands we know today (and are going to get in the future).
Borderlands was first revealed in 2007 and made its official release two years later in 2009. Three years after Borderlands began to grow its following, Borderlands 2 was released and last year we saw the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
The series has officially sold over 23 million units in total, that's more than Skyrim sold in its first two years…which is good.
In March Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be making its appearance on next-gen consoles, bringing the critically acclaimed series with it. The Handsome Collection won't include the first Borderlands, but it will come with the second and The Pre-Sequel along with DLC for both of the games.
